Dracula hits main stage this weekend

Bram Stoker’s gothic masterpiece Dracula is being presented on the Denton High main stage this weekend, just in time for Halloween. The play is about young realtor Jonathan Harker (Jason Jezek, 9) is thrown into a battle with the supernatural after he escapes from the evil Count Dracula (William Tarte, 11). Harker flees back to his warn his wife (Natalie Aiken, 9) her best friend (Hannah Asis, 9) and the doctor and vampire hunter Van Hellsing (Sam Tunnel, 9). They set out to find Dracula and end his reign of terror.
The show is a student directed one act version of the classic novel. The directors set out to cast mostly freshmen to recruit new members into the program. The show has required them to stay late into the night working scenes, running lines and working. The show starts October 27th and is playing until the 29th in the Auditorium.
