Parker Lawson

Parker Lawson describes himself as reliable, and he needs to be, since he is busily involved in orchestra, Student Council, Honor Guard, National Honor Society, and Spanish Honor Society. He is a top student in the senior class and has won many awards for his endeavors, including Student of the Month, 2010 Homecoming King, and National Merit Commended Scholar. He is most proud of being a Commended Scholar, saying, “It was the end result of hard work and dedication.” Only a select few students in the district earned the honor which was awarded for high scores on the PSAT. Lawson will always remember the friends he met here in high school and the football games with Honor Guard. The many life lessons teachers’ have integrated in their lectures are also memorable to him. Lawson will attend Abilene Christian University – one of the best pre-med programs in Texas – to major in biology and eventually become a doctor. He wants to help people, and he was inspired by his father who is a doctor, the TV show House, and his HSTE class freshman year. In the future he hopes to travel to either Spain or South America because he is fascinated by their rich cultures.
