Seat Belts Rock part of school campaign

Denton High School is now a part of more than 600 schools that have joined the program made by the Texas Department of Public Safety called Seat Belts Rock. As a result, Student Council  has been provided the various posters that can be seen around campus. Along with hanging up posters, there are also stickers for the back of your car, key chains, and Valentine ’s Day handouts. This program encourages teens to buckle up when behind the wheel. The Texas Department of Public Safety has designated the month of February as the month to buckle your seat belt. There has already been an increase of 9.2 percent of teenagers wearing seat belts in the first year that the project has been open.
