The Lady Broncos were looking for a victory over their rival Ryan on Tuesday night. In the process, Denton was trying to move even in the standing and force a log jam among 4-4A teams.
For one game, it looked as though that might be the case with DHS grabbing a 25-20 victory, but they couldn’t sustain that momentum falling in four games. They lost the last three 25-15, 25-18, 25-12.
With the loss, Denton dropped to 12-16 overall and 2-3 in 4-4A, while Ryan improved to 5-1 in district.
The Broncos were led by Katelyn Barnett who had a match high 17 in the contest. Kylie Richter had 16 assists and seven digs. Mary Trejo had 13 assists and Kendall Wagner added six digs.
