Monroe Huband carried 14 times for 110 yards and a score to lead Denton to a 22-6 victory over R.L. Turner. Jose Pena chipped in 64 yards and two scores on just five carries as the junior varsity improved to 2-0 on the season.
Hubband’s score came on a three yard run, while Pena went in from 7 and 15 yards out. Quarterback Luke Satterfield completed 8 of 13 passes for 85 yards and Charles Boosa added 35 yards on just two carries.
