The volleyball season is well under away as school winds down its first week. Entering Friday nights matches the varsity volleyball team has rebounded from a 1-5 start to win seven of its past 11 matches to move to 8-9 on the year.
That streak includes winning four of its past five games with victories over Irving (27-25, 25-18), Duncanville (25-15, 22-25, 25-22, 20-25, 15-11), R.L. Turner (25-22, 25-21, 25-27, 25-15) and Ranchview (12-25, 25-22, 28-26, 25-20). Their only loss came to Lewisville in four games.
The junior varsity volleyball team enters Friday with a 5-6-1 record including pool play games. The team is fresh off a 25-14, 25-14 victory over Ranchview on Tuesday night. Other victories include Woodrow Wilson (2-0), Pilot Point (2-0), Frisco Centennial (2-0), and John Paul (2-1).
