Alex Foster is definitely not a stranger to having a thirst for victory. Now a senior, he has thirteen years of playing soccer under his belt, and is ready for a successful season. Foster, who plays forward on the varsity team and has known no other position during his career.
He, like the other players, hopes to make playoffs this season, as well as help develop the younger players so the program can stay successful. Because he’s become so serious about his sport, he only plays soccer now, though in the past he’s played football and basketball.
Though he loves soccer, he has another dream for his future: becoming a firefighter. “My uncle is a fire fighter down in Mesquite, and it’s the coolest job ever,” says Foster. After going to college and majoring in education, he hopes to start saving lives. For now, he stays active through basketball, football, golf, and other sports in his free time.
Though there’s a long season ahead, Foster has motivation. “Fight songs from colleges have influenced me and helped me keep going,” he says. With this key, Foster’s last season will definitely be a good one.
